Beyond the Professoriate Annual Career Conference

Over the past ten years, Beyond Prof's annual conference has helped nearly 12,000 doctoral students and postdocs build their careers in industry. This year's conference will take place over Zoom on May 1^st-6^th, and will exclusively include speakers who have experience moving from academia to industry. The conference is free to attend through the University's subscription.

Vehicle Technology Office

The US Department of Energy is looking for students who are either working on or have recently completed their Master's or Doctoral Degree to join the research efforts of the Vehicle Technology Office in the areas of vehicle and transport decarbonization, renewable energy, and more. Accepted applicants will receive a competitive stipend, as well as support for research, travel, relocation, and health insurance.

Student Engagement and DEI Office Internship

The College of Science and Engineering is offering a graduate student internship position for the 2023/24 academic year. The intern will be a central figure in the coordination of Collegiate initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position will require roughly 18 hrs/week, and will come with a $8,500 stipend.

BYU Undergraduate Summer Research

Brigham Young University is offering summer research opportunities in a variety of Physics and Astronomy subjects to Undergraduate students. Participants will receive access to workshops improving professional skills, a 10-week research internship with direct faculty mentors, a $6,000 stipends, as well as payment for food, travel, and housing.

The School of Physics and Astronomy is hiring a full-time teaching specialist for introductory Physics discussion sections and/or labs. The duties will involve holding office hours, grading, preparing course material, and helping with an instructional team to help coordinate the class. Possibly, responsibility will also include supervising new teaching assistants.

NASEM Fellowships Office

The National Association of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is working with the United States Air Force to provide postdoctoral and senior research awards. If you are a U.S. citizen who currently holds, or anticipate earning a doctorate in a field of Science and Engineering, you are encouraged to apply to one of four annual review cycles. The deadlines for applications to these cycles are the first day of February, May, August, and November.

Awardees receive the chance to conduct independent research at unique Air Force research facilities. They will be able to dedicate a full-time effort towards their research and publication while collaborating with leading scientists and engineers. Other benefits include a minimum starting stipend of $76,542 on top of insurance, relocation, and travel benefits.
